ARC ADJUSTMENT: When the arc of the MP Rotator is adjusted, the flow rate automatically changes to maintain a matched precipitation rate – an industry first. In between the arc settings of Q, T, H, TQ & F, a conventional rotor can experience a 40% -50% change in its precipitation rate. This water-wasting practice is completely eliminated by the instantaneous flow adjustment that occurs whenever the arc of an MP Rotator is adjusted. In addition, the MP Rotator eliminates the labor and uncertainty associated with nozzle installation in rotors as well as the waste associated with throw-away-plastic nozzle trees. The result is that the flow rates in the field match the flow rates specified on the design when MP Rotors are installed.
RADIUS REDUCTION: When the radius of an MP Rotator is reduced, the flow rate is automatically throttled before the individual, rotating streams are created. This maintains the integrity and wind-resistance of the streams. This also maintains the precipitation rate and the uniformity of the MP Rotator better than any conventional rotor that uses an old-fashioned diffuser screw to adjust the radius. A diffuser screw distorts the rotor stream after it has exited the sprinkler. This diminishes uniformity and increases the precipitation rate, thereby reducing system efficiency.
